Donghui Park is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Military History at the Korea Army Academy and an active-duty officer in the Republic of Korea Army. He holds a BA in Military History from the Korean Military Academy (2005), a Master's in History from Yonsei University (2010), and a Ph.D. from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington (2019). His primary research explores cybersecurity, cyber warfare, and cyber sovereignty within the broader context of international security dynamics.
His research interests center on asymmetric threats in digital conflict, with publications analyzing North Korean cyber strategies, Russia's cyber operations in Ukraine, and U.S.-South Korea security cooperation. His work consistently integrates historical military analysis with contemporary security challenges, reflecting expertise in both traditional and hybrid warfare.
Park's articles demonstrate a strong focus on geopolitical cyber strategies, particularly in Northeast Asia. Recent works emphasize threat analysis of state-sponsored hacking, critical infrastructure vulnerabilities, and evolving cyber doctrines. His historical scholarship includes military decision-making during the Korean War and leadership studies.
