Dong Yuan

Dong Yuan is an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Sydney. He holds a B.Eng and M.Eng from Shandong University (SDU) and a PhD from University of Technology Sydney (SUT). His research spans multiple cutting-edge domains including cloud and edge computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and smart energy systems.

Professor Yuan's research interests focus on the intersection of computing systems and intelligent applications. His work bridges theoretical foundations with practical implementations in distributed systems, with particular emphasis on optimizing resource allocation, enhancing security, and improving efficiency in next-generation computing environments. His research has significant applications in energy systems, cybersecurity, and AI deployment in constrained environments.

His recent publications demonstrate a strong trend toward federated learning, privacy-preserving techniques, blockchain applications for security, and edge-based AI deployment.
