Dr. Dong Si is an Associate Professor in the Computing & Software Systems division at the School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics, University of Washington Bothell. He serves as director of the Data Analysis & Intelligent Systems (DAIS) group and is affiliated with the eScience Institute (Data Science) at UW. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Old Dominion University and a B.S. in Electronic Information Science from Nanjing University.

Dr. Si's research spans artificial intelligence, data science, biomedical informatics, geometric deep learning, and health informatics. His work focuses on applying AI to biomedical challenges, including cryo-EM structure modeling, drug discovery, and mental health support systems like iCare. He has secured funding from the NSF, NIH, UW CoMotion, and industry partners such as Microsoft, NVIDIA, and T-Mobile.
Scientific awards include the 2022 UW Bothell Outstanding Community-Engaged Scholar Award. Dr. Si has supervised over 50 students and leads interdisciplinary efforts to engage underrepresented groups in STEM. His lab, DAIS, collaborates with institutions like University of Alabama at Birmingham, University of Chicago, Saint Louis University, and Pacific Lutheran University.
