University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoaمعرفی
Dong Ho Moon is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Sejong University, where he has been faculty since 1999. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1998 and completed postdoctoral work at the Korea Institute of Advanced Study before joining Sejong University. He has held visiting positions at the University of Wisconsin - Madison during 2009-2010 and 2013-2014.
His educational background includes:
- B.S. in Mathematics from Seoul National University (1991)
- M.S. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison (1994)
- Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison (1998)
Dong Ho Moon's research primarily focuses on representation theory and combinatorics. His work explores intricate connections between algebraic structures and combinatorial patterns. His research interests include:
- Representation theories of Lie algebras and Lie superalgebras
- Representation theory of quantum groups
- Algebraic Combinatorics
Professor Moon's publication record shows consistent research activity spanning nearly two decades, with 16 research outputs documented. His work predominantly focuses on the intersection of representation theory and combinatorics, particularly exploring tensor invariants, centralizer algebras, and reduction formulas. The pattern of his research demonstrates a deepening exploration of combinatorial structures in representation theory, with increasing sophistication in mathematical tools employed.
His teaching responsibilities at Sejong University include undergraduate courses such as Modern Algebra, Linear Algebra, and Graduation Research and Career. His office is located in Yeongsil Hall 309, with laboratory space in Young 309. He holds interview hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 13:30 to 15:00 and can be contacted at 02-3408-3163 or dhmoon@sejong.ac.kr.
