Donald S. Burke, III

Donald S. Burke, III is an Associate Professor and Program Director in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He leads the Advanced Safety and Engineering Management (ASEM) Master's Program and directs the Advanced Safety Engineering track in the Interdisciplinary Engineering Ph.D. program. With over ten years of experience in bioengineering, his work focuses on consumer product safety, system safety analysis, and injury prevention.

Education: Dual B.S. in Biology with honors and Biomedical Engineering from UAB (2013 Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering).
