Don Tindall is a Professor in the Department of Theatre Production and Management at Ithaca College's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. He specializes in Sound Design and Technology, teaching courses including Sound Design, Sound Creation & Editing, Advanced Sound Design, Advanced Sound Technology, and Theatrical Mixing.
His professional expertise centers on theatrical sound design and composition, with significant contributions to live theater production. He actively bridges academic instruction with professional practice through real-world sound design projects and mentorship.
Professor Tindall mentors students in sound design and mixing for departmental productions, capstone projects, internships, and independent studies. He maintains strong industry connections through memberships in OISTAT Sound Design Group, USITT Sound and Education commissions, and TSDCA, having previously served as USITT Sound Commission's Vice-Commissioner for Health and Safety (2007-2015).
