Dominique Caouette is a Full Professor at the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Arts and Science, Université de Montréal. He is also a researcher at the Centre d'études et de recherches internationales (CÉRIUM), Centre d'études asiatiques, and Centre de recherche interuniversitaire sur la mondialisation et le travail (CRIMT). His work focuses on transnational actors, social movements, and the political economy of natural resources in Southeast Asia.

- Political economy of natural resources and violence in rural Southeast Asia

Recent Publications analyze resource conflicts in the Philippines, critical perspectives on development paradigms, and transnational solidarity networks. His supervised theses explore topics like Thai tourism gentrification, LGBTIQ mobilization in the Philippines, and land reforms in Rwanda and Mindanao.
Supervision Highlights: Directed 30+ master's and doctoral theses on Southeast Asian politics, environmental conflicts, and transnational social movements since 2004. Notable projects include studies on ASEAN security communities, Chinese market socialism, and plastic pollution norms in international law.
