معرفی
Dominique Antoine Glauser is a Professor at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Medicine, University of Fribourg. His research focuses on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying nociception (detection of noxious stimuli) and its plasticity, using Caenorhabditis elegans as a model organism. Projects funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) explore conserved genetic pathways, neuroendocrine signaling, and neural circuit dynamics related to thermal pain sensation and aversive behaviors.
Key research areas include:
- Protein Kinase A and Calcineurin signaling in nociceptive plasticity
- Role of CREB transcription factors in neuroendocrine regulation
- CMK-1 (Ca2+/Calmodulin-dependent kinase) activity mapping and gene expression reprogramming
- Neuropeptide communication in thermosensory neurons
His work aims to advance fundamental understanding of pain pathways while identifying potential therapeutic targets through evolutionary conserved mechanisms.
