Dominika Gołębiewska

Dominika Gołębiewska is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Poland, where she teaches and researches landscape architecture and spatial planning. Holding a 2018 PhD in environmental protection and development from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, she combines design, education, and activism to create lively, equitable, and nature-rich spaces.

Her work focuses on three intertwined strands:

• Landscape & Environment: green cities, climate resilience, edible landscapes, community gardens, small water retention, parks, and forests.
• Art & Creativity: urban workshops, public-space art interventions, and design thinking that stimulate unconventional problem-solving.
• Society & Therapy: co-design with residents, horticultural therapy, and integrating humans and non-human nature within everyday spaces.

Since 2014 she has collaborated with leading European landscape networks—Le:Notre Institute, ECLAS, EFLA—curating forums and exhibitions in Poland, Germany, Italy, and Malaysia. She founded the LAS Foundation to scale up these activities.

Although no personal research grants or awards are listed, she has continuously secured external funding for collective projects, conferences, and cultural events that bridge academia, municipalities, and civil society.
