Dominik Ritszel is a Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where he teaches Basics of Digital Techniques (Wednesday, 8:50-12:10) and Film and Video Basics (Monday and Tuesday afternoons) in room 210-211 at Raciborska Street 50. As a Doctor of Arts, he bridges academic instruction with professional practice in experimental filmmaking and visual arts.
Dr. Ritszel earned his undergraduate degree in Printmaking from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (2013) and completed his PhD in Fine Arts there in 2020. His academic journey reflects a deep integration with the institution where he now teaches.
His research and creative practice centers on experimental and documentary filmmaking, with strong emphasis on video art and contemporary visual expression. Ritszel's work explores the intersection of digital techniques with traditional artistic approaches, particularly examining how bodily experience translates through digital media.
