Dominik Leiss

Prof. Dr. Dominik Leiss is Professor of Empirical Educational Research in Mathematics Didactics at Leuphana University of Lüneburg. His work focuses on evidence-based improvement of mathematics teaching and teacher education, with particular emphasis on adaptive support, linguistic accessibility of tasks, and inclusive classrooms.

Projects & Funding: He has served as scientific project manager on large-scale initiatives such as Co²CA (Conditions and Consequences of Classroom Assessment), FaSaF (academic language development in grade 7), EvaFa (language-support evaluation within the national BiSS programme), FMOLL (promoting modelling skills via worked examples), LERN-IF (learning-process diagnostics in inclusive settings), and the Leuphana Teacher Training 2020 concept.

Labs & Teams: He leads the Empirical Educational Research in Mathematics Didactics group, coordinating interdisciplinary teams that bridge psychology, educational measurement, and subject-matter didactics.
