Dominik Großmann

Dominik Großmann is a Researcher at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Media and Computer Science, Amberg-Weiden University of Applied Sciences. Based in Amberg at the Mechanical and Environmental Engineering building (Room E02), he works on a research project in modulation methods for electric traction drives. This project is conducted in cooperation with the Technical University of Darmstadt as part of a cooperative PhD program under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heiko Zatocil.

His research spans Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electric Drives, Automotive Engineering, Control Systems, and Renewable Energy Systems. The project focuses on analyzing modulation methods to optimize energy efficiency, reduce losses, and improve the performance of electric vehicle traction systems. Key aspects include AC current ripple, switching losses, motor losses, and DC voltage ripple, which are critical for extending vehicle range and enhancing electric vehicle competitiveness.
