Dr. Dominic Parker is the Anderson-Bascom Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research examines environmental economics, economic development, and law and economics, with particular focus on policy impacts on natural resources and the role of markets and property rights. Dr. Parker investigates both intended and unintended consequences of environmental and resource policies through empirical analysis.
Research explores diverse topics including conservation policies, resource boomtown dynamics, indigenous economic development, and environmental market design. His work on conflict minerals regulation, wildlife conservation economics, and tribal energy development has informed international policy discussions.
