Dominic Boyer is a Professor of Anthropology at Rice University, where he co-directs the Center for Coastal Futures and Adaptive Resilience (CFAR) and directs the Social Design Lab. He is a co-founder of the Energy Humanities field and has held leadership roles in the Rice Sustainability Institute and the Center for Energy and Environmental Research in the Human Sciences (CENHS). His work bridges anthropology, environmental studies, and media studies, focusing on energy transitions, climate change, and the politics of infrastructure.
