Domenico Ninno is a Full Professor of Physics of Matter at the University of Naples Federico II, Department of Physics Ettore Pancini. His research focuses on 2D materials (graphene, transition metal chalcogenides), nanotechnology, and interdisciplinary studies in cybernetics and cognitive processes. He has collaborated with institutions like IBM, ENEA, and STMicroelectronics. Notable contributions include work on twisted bilayer systems, nanofilm properties, and the Environment Generative Operator (EGO) algorithm for autopoietic cognitive modeling. He holds a NATO-CNR Advanced Fellowship (1990) and co-authored patents on porous silicon gas sensors. Teaching includes Solid State Physics and Nanomaterials Engineering.
