Dolorès Bertrais is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Geneva's Department of Geography and Environment (UNIGE, Switzerland). Her work focuses on the political ontology of the living in urban contexts, materiality of cities (especially sand and aggregates), and environmental/socio-spatial justice across Southeast Asia and East Africa (Rwanda). After defending her 2024 thesis on Green City models in Phnom Penh and Kigali, she continues researching urban dynamics and production of space.
