معرفی
Dmitry Gourevitch is a Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. His research focuses on Representation Theory and Algebraic Geometry, particularly on reductive groups over local fields and Gelfand pairs.
- Current PhD students: Shachar Carmeli and Alexander Shamov
- Past students include Boaz Elazar, Ary Shaviv, and Itay Glazer
- Postdoctoral fellows: Zhuohui Zhang and Hengfei Lu
Research Interests:
Representation theory of reductive groups, Gelfand pairs, automorphic forms, and harmonic analysis on p-adic groups. His work often intersects algebraic geometry and invariant theory.
Recent Publications:
Recent articles explore hypergeometric orthogonal polynomials, symplectic complexity of group actions, and generalized Whittaker models. Key themes include Fourier coefficients of automorphic forms, holonomic distributions, and applications to Gelfand pairs.
Teaching:
- Fall 2025: Generalized Functions
- Spring 2025: Algebraic Theory of D-Modules
- Past courses include representation theory, D-modules, and automorphic forms
