Diya Abraham is a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Reading. She serves as Module Convener for EC224 Games and Economic Behaviour and EC208 Business Economics, BESS Lab Co-Director, and Undergraduate Admissions Tutor. Her research focuses on behavioral and experimental economics, addressing questions in personnel economics, public policy, and market design. She holds a PhD in Economics from Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna) and another PhD in Public Economics from Masaryk University, alongside MA and BSc degrees in Economics and Mathematics.

Her research explores two core themes: trust dynamics and cooperative behavior in public good dilemmas. She employs laboratory and online experiments to study how trust influences altruism, discrimination, and cooperation in both local and global contexts. Recent work examines the impact of minimum contribution policies on global environmental projects and the role of intermediaries in donation coordination.
Awards include the BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grant (2024-26) and WU Small Projects Grant (2020). She actively supervises PhD candidates in behavioral/experimental economics and is affiliated with the Masaryk University Experimental Economics Laboratory. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges theoretical models with real-world policy implications.
