Divya Srinivasan

Dr. Divya Srinivasan is the McQueen Quattlebaum Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Clemson University, part of the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan and has held prior academic positions at Virginia Tech. Her research focuses on occupational biomechanics, human factors, and ergonomics, with a specialization in exoskeletons, postural stability, and workplace safety.

Education: Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (Anna University, 2005), MS in Industrial & Operations Engineering (University of Michigan, 2008), MS in Biomedical Engineering (University of Michigan, 2008), and PhD in Biomedical Engineering (University of Michigan, 2010).

Research Interests: Her work spans occupational biomechanics, human factors in robotics, ergonomic design of assistive technologies, and musculoskeletal disorder mitigation. She leads studies on exoskeleton efficacy in construction, healthcare, and industrial settings, emphasizing user adaptation and safety.

Key Contributions: Her recent work explores exoskeletons' impact on postural balance, mental workload in human-robot interaction, and VR-based training for exoskeleton users. She also investigates vibration effects in mining vehicle operations and age/gender differences in exoskeleton use.
