Divya S. Subramaniam

Divya S. Subramaniam is an Associate Professor and Program Director in the Department of Health and Clinical Outcomes Research at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She leads the Health Data Science and Health Outcomes Research Programs. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. and M.P.H. in Public Health from Saint Louis University and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Tulsa.

Her research focuses on leveraging health data science to address disparities in palliative care, chronic illness management, and social determinants of health. Notable studies include examining palliative care’s impact on hospital costs in metastatic cancer patients and analyzing mental health service utilization in chronic disease populations. She also investigates vaccine hesitancy among healthcare workers and spatial clustering of health disparities.
