Disha Okhai is a Career Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oregon since Fall 2024. She holds a PhD from Purdue University, where her research focused on ancient volcanoes and silicic magma reservoir dynamics.

Her research combines high-precision U-Pb zircon CA-ID-TIMS geochronology with field observations, petrology, and geochemical analysis to study magma reservoir construction rates and eruption mechanisms. This work has implications for volcanic hazard management.
