Dirk Sauer

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dirk Sauer is a Professor of Production and Manufacturing Technology at the Faculty of Management, Culture and Technology, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. He holds leadership roles in process optimization, quality management, and industrial engineering. His career spans industry roles at ThyssenKrupp Umformtechnik GmbH, including plant management and technical leadership, before transitioning to academia in 2010.

His research focuses on manufacturing processes, quality assurance, environmental production, and process optimization. He has authored multiple books and publications on industrial process improvement, digitalization in work environments, and lean manufacturing methodologies. Awards include the 2022 Professor of the Year from the UNICUM Foundation.
