Dirk Müller

Dirk Müller is a Professor of Business Administration with a focus on Innovation Management at the Department of Economics, Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. He leads the TechStartUp@HS-Flensburg (TeStUp) initiative and is involved in VentureWærft Dock1 and Opportunity Space, promoting innovation management and entrepreneurial scaling. As HS Center Spokesperson for the Opportunity Space, he facilitates community engagement in higher education, particularly in the Southern Africa Region. His teaching includes Business Management courses on founding, innovation, and organizational development.

Research interests center on innovation ecosystems, start-up dynamics, and digital transformation. His work bridges academia and industry through programs like the Digital Challenge, which explores innovation in real-world contexts, and Kickstart, providing financial support for student ventures. Müller’s initiatives emphasize practical experience, as seen in student-led projects evaluating company models and identifying emerging technologies.

Key projects include the Jackstädt Center Flensburg (JZF), fostering innovation collaboration, and scaling entrepreneurial ventures.
