Dirk Martignoni

Dirk Martignoni is an Associate Professor of Strategy at the University of Lugano (Università della Svizzera italiana), based in the Faculty of Economics and the Institute of Management and Organisation (IMO). Previously, he held postdoctoral positions at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, and completed his PhD in Management at the University of St. Gallen. He has been a visiting researcher at Wharton and UC Irvine. His teaching focuses on organizational theories of learning and adaptation.

Research interests include challenges of learning and adaptation in complex, uncertain environments. Key competence areas are corporate strategy, decision-making, management, and private equity. His work has been published in leading journals such as the Strategic Management Journal and Strategic Organization.
