Dirk Krueger

Dirk Krueger is the Walter H. and Leonore C. Annenberg Professor in the Social Sciences and Professor of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a secondary appointment in Wharton’s Finance department and serves as Managing Editor of the Review of Economic Studies, a Research Associate at NBER, and a Research Fellow across multiple institutions including the CEPR and CFS. His research focuses on risk-sharing mechanisms, macroeconomic policy, and the welfare implications of income and health risks. Krueger’s work bridges macroeconomics with public finance and labor economics, employing theoretical and empirical methods to address policy-relevant questions.
