Dirk Baur is a Professor of Finance at The University of Western Australia, where he conducts research in financial economics and financial econometrics. He is internationally recognized as an expert on the financial economics of gold, cryptocurrencies, and the modeling of volatility and correlation dynamics. His work contributes to understanding safe haven assets, diversification strategies, and sustainable finance approaches.
Dr. Baur holds a Master's degree in Economics and received his Ph.D. in Financial Econometrics from the University of Tübingen in 2003. His academic journey includes:
