Dipongkor Saha, DVM, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Cancer Biology at North Carolina A&T State University. He is also a UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center member with research interests focused on breast and brain cancer immunology and immunotherapy. Dr. Saha has established research programs in glioblastoma (GBM) and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), with a particular focus on oncolytic virus-based immunotherapies.
Dr. Saha's research interests encompass cancer immunology, immunotherapy, and the use of oncolytic viruses and cancer vaccines to treat cancers. His work specifically focuses on developing immunovirotherapy approaches for difficult-to-treat cancers like glioblastoma and triple-negative breast cancer. His research program integrates tumor immunology, oncolytic adenoviruses, adoptive T-cell therapy, and animal models of cancer, with a particular emphasis on engineering oncolytic herpes simplex virus (oHSV)-based immunotherapy for GBM treatment.
