Dionysia Triantafyllopoulou is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Communication Systems, University of Surrey, UK. She holds a PhD from the University of Athens (2009), specializing in Communication Systems and Networks. Her research focuses on radio resource management, spectrum sharing, and mobility management in cognitive radio and heterogeneous networks, with emphasis on 5G and beyond. She has contributed to major projects like 5GENESIS, Clear5G, and SocIoTal, addressing challenges in network efficiency, energy saving, and smart IoT ecosystems. Her work spans dynamic spectrum access, QoS optimization, and machine learning applications in telecommunications. She has authored over 50 publications in top-tier journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions and ACM publications, and co-edited books on cognitive radio and cross-layer design. She is an active member of IEEE and has held roles in organizing international conferences such as CROWNCOM.
