معرفی
Diogo Cabral is a Research Fellow at the University of Gävle (HiG), Sweden. His research focuses on renewable energy systems, particularly solar energy and photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) technologies. He holds a PhD in Energy Systems from HiG, completed in 2022, and has extensive experience in EU-funded projects such as RES4Build, which modernized HiG's solar test laboratory. He also consults for MG Sustainable AB and teaches courses in renewable energy, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Education:
- Bachelor's and Master's in Energy and Environmental Engineering (University of Lisbon, 2017)
- Master's in Energy Systems (University of Gävle, 2018)
- PhD in Photovoltaic-Thermal Solar Collector Optics (University of Gävle, 2022)
His expertise includes solar collector design, PVT optimization, and sustainable building integration. He led the development of the Solarus PowerCollectorTM and contributed to advancing solar energy technologies through experimental and applied research.
Grants & Projects:
- European H2020 RES4Build Project (PVT collector development)
- Eureka Eurostars Project (PVT solar collector design)
Labs & Infrastructure: Modernized HiG's solar test laboratory with state-of-the-art facilities for PVT testing, including electrical/thermal test rigs and a semi-automatic solar stand.
