Dimitris Andriosopoulos

Professor Dimitris Andriosopoulos is a Professor of Finance and Founding Director of the Responsible Business Institute (ReBI) at the University of Strathclyde. He holds roles as Visiting Scholar at the University of Geneva and Visiting Lecturer at Bayes Business School, ESCP Europe, and SKEMA Business School. His academic leadership includes directing the MSc Sustainable Finance program and serving as Academic Fellow at the Centre for Responsible Banking & Finance (CRBF) at the University of St. Andrews.

Education: PhD in Finance from City University London (2010), MBA and MS in Accounting from Suffolk University (2006), and BSc in Business Administration from the University of the Aegean (2004).

Research interests focus on Corporate Finance, Sustainable Finance & ESG, and Corporate Governance. He has secured over £1.3m in research funding and is ranked in the top-30,000 authors globally on SSRN. Teaching accolades include multiple Strathclyde Teaching Excellence Awards (2015, 2017) and student praise for his engaging, real-world approach.

Professional activities include advising the Scottish Government’s Investor Panel on net-zero infrastructure, serving as Associate Editor for the European Journal of Finance, and leading projects like the KTP collaboration with BIP Solutions. His external roles include Partner in the financial consultancy firm Symmetria Ltd.

Notable contributions include establishing ReBI to bridge academia, industry, and policy, and fostering sustainable finance education through programs placed at top firms like Goldman Sachs and BlackRock.
