Dimitrios Dentsoras serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Manitoba, where he has taught since joining the institution in 2007. His instructional responsibilities include foundational and specialized undergraduate courses such as PHIL 1200 (Introduction to Philosophy), PHIL 2630 (Continental Rationalism), PHIL 2650 (Plato), PHIL 2660 (Aristotle), and PHIL 4520 (Historical Topics).

Research Interests:
Dr. Dentsoras specializes in Ancient Philosophy with concentrated expertise in Hellenistic philosophy (particularly Stoicism). His scholarly work critically examines the interdependence of virtue, knowledge, and eudaimonia (happiness), while tracing the historical evolution of moral concepts across classical antiquity, Hellenistic thought, and early Christian philosophy. He maintains active engagement with contemporary debates in moral psychology and normative ethics, bridging historical analysis with modern ethical inquiry.
He is currently accepting Master's students for graduate supervision within the Department of Philosophy.
