Dimitria Gatzia is a Professor of Philosophy and the Integrated Biosciences (PhD) program at the University of Akron, where she has served as Department Chair. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy from UCLA and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Syracuse University. Her research focuses on philosophy of mind, cognitive neuroscience, and color perception, with notable contributions to synesthesia, cognitive penetration, and the ethics of racism. She is affiliated with the Brogaard Lab for Multisensory Research at the University of Miami and previously held a Research Fellowship at the University of Antwerp's Centre for Philosophical Psychology.
