معرفی
Professor Dimitri Vvedensky is a Professor of Physics at Imperial College London's Department of Physics within the Faculty of Natural Sciences. His research focuses on condensed matter physics, quantum physics, and materials engineering, with affiliations including the Condensed Matter Theory Group and the Physics of Life initiative. He holds an ORCID identifier: 0000-0002-4990-0208 and is based at the Blackett Laboratory.
His research interests span theoretical and applied physics, including surface physics, epitaxial growth, quantum dots, and statistical topology of materials. He has contributed to understanding nanostructure formation, graphene growth, and the interplay between symmetry and material properties. Recent work explores applications in placental vascular topology and interdisciplinary models linking physics to finance and epidemiology.
Publications highlight his work on density-functional theory, path integrals in porous media, and minimal surface phenomena. His articles often bridge fundamental physics with practical applications in materials science and biophysics. Collaborative research extends to placental vascular analysis and agent-based modeling.
Professor Vvedensky is part of Imperial's Physics Permanent Researchers group and the Matter Community. His career reflects a blend of theoretical innovation and experimental validation, particularly in epitaxy and surface dynamics.
