Dimitra Kanellopoulou

Dimitra Kanellopoulou is a lecturer at École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris-Malaquais (ENSAPM), a component of PSL University (Paris Sciences & Lettres), and an active researcher in urban geography and public space planning. She also teaches at École d’Urbanisme de Paris (EUP), Sciences Po Paris, Sorbonne Université, and Harokopio University of Athens.

Research Interests:

Her research centers on pedestrian mobility, public space planning, and tourism, with a particular emphasis on how walking practices shape urban life. She explores how public spaces are experienced, programmed, and transformed in both urban and peri-urban contexts.

• Co-scientific director of The Public Space HUB (2016–present), a platform hosted by UMR 8504 Géographie-cités
• Member of the AAU Laboratory (Architectures Ambiances Urbanités), CRESSON team
• Participates in the UR12 research project at INED: “Identities and territories of populations”
