Dilek Düstegör is Assistant Professor (Education Profile) at Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics, Computer Science and AI, specializing in distributed systems and AI applications for sustainable infrastructure.
Research focuses on distributed digital twins for critical systems (water/energy networks), multi-agent reinforcement learning, and IoT solutions for environmental monitoring. Current projects include NWO-funded DDTclean for intelligent wastewater treatment.
Recent publications develop educational digital twins for STEM (2024) and review IoT water monitoring techniques (2021). She teaches Distributed Systems, Data Science, and coordinates AI curriculum development.
