Dileep Sharma

Professor Dileep Sharma serves as Head of Discipline for Oral Health at the University of Newcastle, Australia, leading academic programs and research initiatives in oral health sciences. With over 80 peer-reviewed publications, he maintains active collaborations across Australia, India, Hong Kong, UAE, and the UK while securing substantial research funding.

His research spans dental materials innovation, oral cancer prevalence studies, periodontics, and oral implantology, with emerging focus on mental health integration in dental care and tissue regeneration technologies. Current projects address autism spectrum disorder management in dental settings, data-driven public oral health systems, and translational policy research bridging clinical practice with population health.

Professor Sharma's distinguished contributions include:
