Dilal Saundage serves as Senior Lecturer and Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning at Deakin University's Faculty of Business and Law, Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics. With over twenty years of higher education experience, he holds leadership roles including interim Head of Department and Director of Teaching. His academic foundation includes a PhD in Information Systems and Bachelor of Commerce, both from Deakin University.
His research spans Artificial Intelligence, Responsible AI, and Digital Transformation with emphasis on user experience with AI agents, Information Systems theory-practice integration, and Visual Analytics. He has developed influential educational programs including Master of Business Analytics and Graduate Certificate of Artificial Intelligence for Business, pioneering MOOC-based curriculum innovation on FutureLearn platform.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals strong focus on AI-human interaction dynamics, particularly algorithmic duality effects on user satisfaction (2024) and intelligent decision support systems (2024). His work consistently bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in digital transformation, evidenced by crisis management research (2022) and SME engagement studies (2019). Visual analytics remains a cross-cutting methodology throughout his scholarly output.
