Dieter Pesendorfer is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Law, Queen's University Belfast. His research focuses on Financial Regulation, Financial Crises, Business Regulation, and Risk Governance. He teaches International Trade Law, Global Business Law, and International Financial Law at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to sustainable economic systems. Notable publications include analyses of post-Brexit EU financial integration and legal challenges in EU financial taxation. He actively participates in academic conferences, including the ECPR Regulatory Governance Conference (2023) and the Political Studies Association Annual Conference (2023).
Pesendorfer advises PhD students in Financial Law and Regulation, Trade Regulation, and Environmental Law. He has organized workshops on post-Brexit legal challenges in Northern Ireland and contributed to discussions on trade negotiations and dispute resolution.
