Dienke Stomph is a PhD candidate in Cultural Geography at Wageningen University, affiliated with the Wageningen School of Social Sciences (WASS). She holds the role of WASS Teacher in Cultural Geography and is engaged in multidisciplinary research addressing agroecological and sociocultural dimensions of land use. Her work intersects agriculture, environmental policy, and sustainable development.
Education: MSc degree (specific field unspecified). Research focuses on agroforestry systems, soil health, and the socioeconomic impacts of agricultural transitions. She has contributed to policy-oriented studies on soil protection and participated in international projects analyzing oil palm agroforestry in tropical regions.
Recent activities include an oral presentation titled *Cultivating tomorrow: exploring the pathways of Dutch agriculture* (September 2023). Her PhD project (since 2022) investigates counter-colonial corporealities through a lens of liminal spaces and bodily commodification, supervised by Prof. Els Huijbens, Dr. Ebo Adu-Ampong, and Dr. Christien Driessen. This project has garnered attention with 27 news references and 324 Mendeley readers.
