Diego Vazquez-Brust is a Professor of Global Business Sustainability and Strategy, and Associate Head (Research and Innovation) at the University of Portsmouth's Faculty of Business & Law. He holds roles in the School of Strategy, Marketing, and Innovation, and is affiliated with the Future of Law, Innovation and Technology Research Centre and the Agile Centre For Equitable Sustainability. His research focuses on sustainability, social inclusion, circular economy, and stakeholder theory with a geographic emphasis on the Global South.
Education: BSc in Engineering (University of La Plata, Argentina), MBA (Royal Holloway University of London), PhD in Management (Royal Holloway).
Research Interests: Circular Economy, Social Inclusion, Corporate Sustainability, Multinational Enterprises in Africa, Mining Industry Responsibility, and South-South Collaboration. He has coordinated the Greening of Industry Network since 2008 and edited Springer’s 'Greening of Industry Network Studies' book series.
Grants include the Interreg2Seas PlastiCity project and research with Panasonic Pharmaceutical on leadership ethics. He speaks fluent Spanish and conversational Portuguese.
He has supervised numerous PhD students and contributed to over 40 peer-reviewed publications, focusing on sustainability transitions, environmental policy, and inclusive business models.
