Diego L. Guarin

Diego L. Guarin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Physiology & Kinesiology at the University of Florida (since August 2022) and Director of the Movement Estimation and Analysis Laboratory. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Florida Institute of Technology from 2020 to 2022. His research bridges neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and artificial intelligence, focusing on understanding movement impairments in neurodegenerative diseases and developing innovative techniques for clinical assessment and therapy evaluation. He emphasizes translational research to improve remote, early diagnosis of neurological conditions affecting movement.
