Diego Calabrese

Dr. Diego Calabrese is an experienced academic researcher and Head of the Histology Core Facility at the Department of Biomedicine, University of Basel. With dual Ph.D. degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Molecular & Systems Toxicology) and Clinical & Pathological Morphology, he brings extensive expertise in molecular pathology, toxicology, and human anatomy. Since 2019, he has directed the Histology Core Facility, providing critical histological services to support translational research within the university and affiliated University Hospital of Basel.
