Diego Altamirano

Professor Diego Altamirano is a faculty member at the University of Southampton, affiliated with the Department of Physics and Astronomy within the Faculty of Physical Sciences and Engineering. His research focuses on high-energy astrophysics, particularly X-ray binaries, black holes, and accreting compact objects. He leads or co-leads multiple research projects funded by the Royal Society and STFC, including studies of black hole X-ray binaries and accretion processes.
