Dickie Beau

Dickie Beau is a London-based performance artist affiliated with the School of English and Drama at Queen Mary University of London through the Artist Research Fellowship Scheme. His work interrogates cultural hierarchies by synthesizing elements from both popular and classical performance traditions.

Beau's research centers on postmodern performance practices, particularly drag fabulism and physical theatre. As a self-described "cultural pickpocket," he critically recombines source materials across the "low culture" to "high art" spectrum to create politically charged theatrical experiences that challenge normative frameworks of identity and representation.
