Dick Menzies is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, McGill University, and a Senior Scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) at the 5252 de Maisonneuve site. He leads translational research in respiratory diseases through the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation.
His research focuses on clinical and epidemiologic studies of tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis and treatment, spanning latent TB, active TB, drug-sensitive, and drug-resistant strains. He collaborates internationally in Benin, Brazil, Indonesia, and Vietnam, and within Canada through networks in Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
Key research themes include Tuberculosis, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Global Health. His recent publications emphasize comparative treatment regimens, cost-effectiveness in TB management, and meta-analyses of TB progression risks.
