Diane Roeder is an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department at Augustana University, teaching courses in biology, ecology, and animal behavior.
Her educational background includes:
- Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Oklahoma (2016)
- M.S. in Zoology from the University of Oklahoma (2011)
- B.S. in Biology from Cameron University (2008)
Dr. Roeder's research centers on behavioral ecology and biodiversity patterns in birds and invertebrates. She investigates reproductive behaviors, foraging strategies, and the social/environmental drivers of these phenomena. Her work emphasizes documenting biodiversity drivers through field studies of avian and invertebrate species under varying biotic and abiotic conditions. Prior to joining Augustana, she developed this research focus during teaching and research appointments at Cameron University and South Dakota State University.
