Diane Novak is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Northwestern University's School of Communication and a Fellow at the Knowles Hearing Center. With over 25 years of clinical experience as a certified audiologist, she specializes in diagnosing and treating adult hearing loss while overseeing strategy, finance, marketing, and operations for all clinical services.

Her research focuses on improving hearing healthcare accessibility through translational projects that bridge clinical practice and community needs. She actively develops student clinical training opportunities and advocates for hearing loss prevention, identification, and treatment education among healthcare professionals and consumers, with particular emphasis on balance disorders and rehabilitation protocols.
Dr. Novak builds community outreach initiatives providing clinical learning experiences for students while expanding community services. She serves on professional organization committees and develops certification courses for clinical preceptors.
She is affiliated with the Center for Audiology, Speech, Language and Learning, where she integrates clinical operations with educational mission through the Knowles Hearing Center partnership.
