Diane Ling

Dr. Diane Ling is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, where she also serves as Director of Quality and Safety for Keck Medicine. She joined the faculty in August 2020 and practices at USC Norris Cancer Hospital, specializing in gastrointestinal and breast cancers with expertise in advanced radiation techniques including IMRT, VMAT, SRS, and SBRT.

Dr. Ling completed her education at UC Berkeley (BS in Molecular and Cell Biology) and University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (MD), where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Hillman Cancer Center, serving as chief resident.

Research Focus: Her work spans radiation therapy protocol development, treatment safety optimization, and technological innovations in cancer management. Key interests include:

• Hypofractionated radiotherapy protocols for breast, prostate and GI cancers
• Advanced motion management and imaging techniques for precision radiation
• Quality improvement in radiation oncology practice and training
• Palliative radiotherapy utilization and end-of-life cancer care
