Diamanto Politis serves as Professor in Business Administration specializing in Entrepreneurship and Director of the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship (SKJCE) at Lund University's School of Economics and Management. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in entrepreneurial ecosystems, focusing on how universities stimulate regional innovation through education and stakeholder engagement.
Her research centers on entrepreneurial learning processes, examining how individuals inside and outside academia develop opportunity recognition skills. She investigates university-based entrepreneurial ecosystems, innovation intermediaries, alumni engagement, and the integration of sustainability into entrepreneurship education.
