DiMitri Higginbotham is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Design and Director of the Center for Integrated Design at The University of Texas at Austin's College of Fine Arts. He holds an M.A. in Design and Innovation from Southern Methodist University. Previously, he worked at Good Shepherd Episcopal School in Dallas, integrating maker education and design thinking into their curriculum. At SMU, he managed a mobile maker space and developed programs for engineering education camps.

Prior roles include Senior Teaching Lab Manager and Program Manager at SMU's Caruth Institute for Engineering Education, where he created teacher training programs and curriculum for summer engineering camps.
